While Norfolk Southern is based in Norfolk VA and has no yards in this area, their power can be spotted more and more often in New England. Here in Massachusetts, NS power is often spotted on coal trains headed for Bow New Hampshire as well as through freights. Guilford's East Deerfield yard provides many NS photo-ops thanks to the unofficial "Railfan Bridge" that allows you to see a large portion of the yard. Coal trains run on the Fitchburg Line then up to Bow NH.
